Now August has ended, I'm excited for September. After being in the traditional school system and working for a company that follows that system, September signifies the new start of a year for me. It's always the time of year where I start to refresh my professional and personal life - which is why I thought I'd share my three favourite ways to do that.
Goals & Aims
Moving Forward
Whilst having a good clear out and setting new goals is well and good, the most important thing to do is move forward from your old goals and the past few months. Moving on and forward isn't always easy but it's important for your own well-being as dwelling on the past and the goals that you haven't accomplished only leads to you feeling hurt.
What will you be doing to start again this September?
Goals & Aims
Chances are, like myself, you've set yourself goals at the start of the year. Boy, how time flies. So many of us are so strict with those goals but we send up having aims that no longer work for us. Which is why I always try and have a refresh at the start of the academic year. I truly believe that the most important thing is making them achievable and not setting the bar so high so you aren't setting yourself up for failure.
Social Media & Bedroom Deep Clean
After having a good declutter across social media and my phone, I then like to declutter my bedroom. A clean room is a clean mind. I clean out everything - from my makeup to my wardrobe. I aim to complete it all over the course of a week. It's so easy to let things build up but tackling it all in one go makes it way easier for the future. There is no better feeling that you get when you've finally done something you've been putting off for a while and everything finally has its own place. Moving Forward
