Oh Wonder: A Review

Last year I was introduced to Oh Wonder and quite honestly, they've appeared in every one of my playlists I've created and I've been playing them constantly because I just can't stop listening to them.

I'm a big fan of chilled songs, the ones that are perfect for a lazy Sunday morning. Actually, I like listening to that kind of music anywhere and everywhere. So Oh Wonder are up there and fit me perfectly.

Love, Season 3: A Review

*Spoilers below*

It's my final time writing a review about this show. It's been three years and has finally come to an end. One of the reason's why the show has struck hearts (my own included) so easily is because the story never confined itself to the tropes of a fairytale relationship that we're so accustomed to seeing.

The show enforces that in today's technological society we are more likely to connect with someone online than in person. Gus and Mickey represent that new modern way of dating and make us realise that it is far from perfect.

A Day Out: London

Just over a month ago I spent a weekend in London for my birthday with my boyfriend.

One of my favourite parts was getting a chance to visit the Star Wars Identities exhibition at the O2 Academy. With over 200 props, costumers, and models from the Lucasfilm Archives it’s a great experience to find out more about what makes and shaped the saga.

Love, Season 2: A Review

Around this time last year I wrote a post on season one of Netflix's Love; I still love Love but sometimes I'm not sure why I do.

My feelings seems appropriate since Love's two protagonists, Mickey (Gillian Jacobs) and Gus (Paul Rust), have a strong connection without entirely understanding why. After the first season, the second and their relationship, picks up right where the first left off despite the fact that Mickey has told Gus she's dealing with a variety of addictions; alcohol, drugs, and sex/love.

The Body Shop: A Review

A few months ago The Body Shop released a new range of Superfood face masks that I desperately wanted to try - in particular, the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask.

It's a slightly tingling clay mask which is infused with bamboo charcoal, organic tea tree oil, and green tea leaves. All of the components make the perfect balance for combination & oily skin like mine. It promises to draw out congestion and refine appearance of pores for healthy, glowing skin.

Rent: A Review

A few weeks ago I went to The Old Rep to see producer Neri’s production of Rent.
The production has been created completely in Birmingham, with Neri making it his goal to cast local singers and actors from across the region.
This was partly why I chose to buy tickets - I’d never see Rent in any form before, but was intrigued with how someone could make one of the most relevant musicals of today’s society feel as though it was part of the midlands.

Love: A Review

I've finally gotten round to watching another one of Netflix's original shows and all I can say is that I love Love.
