About two weeks ago Matt and I decided to pay a trip to the Attenborough Nature Reserve. Granted it may have been pouring down with rain but we had fun regardless.
As it's right by the railway and canal there's a very clear juxtaposition of the old world and the new however when the sun was shining, the old world was far superior. There's designated bird hides if you're a keen bird watcher and plenty of places to walk your dog or go running. The reserve is stunning and is free to enter, I was so close to a Robin that it almost landed on my hand until a dog came running past.
The walkways around the Reserve are wide and well signposted. It's a great experience of what nature has to offer. I'd say go pay a visit, get some fresh air and take in some beautiful creatures and scenery; all free of charge.
While there isn't a great deal more that I can write about and review, I've added my favourite photos from the day below.
If any of you have been during the Summer, would you recommend another trip?
