A few months ago The Body Shop released a new range of Superfood face masks that I desperately wanted to try - in particular, the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask.
It's a slightly tingling clay mask which is infused with bamboo charcoal, organic tea tree oil, and green tea leaves. All of the components make the perfect balance for combination & oily skin like mine. It promises to draw out congestion and refine appearance of pores for healthy, glowing skin.
I've used this three times these past two weeks and I can definitely say it's done wonders for my skin. On two of the occasions I've used it I've placed it all over my face, however on the third time I only applied it to my forehead. It's all dependent on where I felt I've needed the ingredient benefits the most.
The consistency was soft, and creamy enough for an easy application via hand or brush. The charcoal pieces gave the mask an interesting look and enough edge to stand out from other high street brands. My pores were smaller in appearance, and my skin was soft and smooth. The mask has also begun absorbing excess oil in order to give me a healthy glow.
One thing I can say is that the scent was very refreshing, and I would definitely recommend.
