The Body Shop: A Review

A few months ago The Body Shop released a new range of Superfood face masks that I desperately wanted to try - in particular, the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask.

It's a slightly tingling clay mask which is infused with bamboo charcoal, organic tea tree oil, and green tea leaves. All of the components make the perfect balance for combination & oily skin like mine. It promises to draw out congestion and refine appearance of pores for healthy, glowing skin.

Three tips to help de-stress

I consider myself a fairly healthy person. I exercise, I eat five fruit and vegetables every day. I even enjoy a packet of crisps (or two) as much as the next person.

Now I'm no doctor, and so my words don't substitute for a professional opinion. But if you feel you may be facing any health challenge, please be sure to visit a medical professional for expert guidance tailored just for you. When I learnt I had depression, it all clicked for me. I've learnt to overcome the diagnosis with three simple tips to helping me de-stress and step back.

A Day Out: Barcelona

Earlier this month I went to visit my grandparents in Spain.

I've been very lucky that they've lived abroad for almost 20 years. It's meant my summer holidays have been filled of sun, sea and sand.
Even though I've been visiting for the past 18 years, I'd never really seen Barcelona in all its full glory. I decided to spend a day exploring with my nan - being a 2hour train journey away meant that it had to be a full day expedition.

5 things

If you're anything like me, I think about the future a lot. I think about how to be a better person. Sometimes I have to remind myself that it's best to live your life to the full, and that to become a better person there are some things that I'd have to change to achieve that.

Rent: A Review

A few weeks ago I went to The Old Rep to see producer Neri’s production of Rent.
The production has been created completely in Birmingham, with Neri making it his goal to cast local singers and actors from across the region.
This was partly why I chose to buy tickets - I’d never see Rent in any form before, but was intrigued with how someone could make one of the most relevant musicals of today’s society feel as though it was part of the midlands.

Love: A Review

I've finally gotten round to watching another one of Netflix's original shows and all I can say is that I love Love.

Being a good samaritan

Continuing on from my previous post, another step I have taken is choosing to volunteer at my local animal sanctuary.
Working with animals is something I have wanted to do since I was a child, but I never saw myself as a Vet. There’s no way I could handle having the power of life or death in my hands. Naturally, this led me to decide to volunteer.

Hello World

As of November 2015 I’ve been using this blog as a way to write down my thoughts, feelings and opinions on whatever popped into my head. I was always worried that nobody would care or that I’d have nothing to write about, so I stopped in April.
